Question by Angel: What ever happened to “virtual reality”?
It was being hyped like it was the biggest invention since the wheel a decade ago, and now it’s almost obsolete. Are there any significant uses for VR, other than for some expensive video games?

It’s still around. One of the biggest uses is for fighter pilot training. Virtual crashes are a lot cheaper than real ones.

Question by Joe: Virtual Reality “Game” : What would you want?
My team and myself are brainstorming ideas for a possible “virtual reality” “game”.
Using some of the latest systems, that are projected to decrease in money , yet increase in quality , we figured we’d start brain storming.
Other than actually “being there” , what would you like to see in a life simulator.
A game where you could be a cop , a doctor, a regular guy , or , well…anything?
Thanks for any input.
Joe
We plan on using a system called “virtusphere” a modifiable 3D “sphere” on a rotating platform , allowing a virtual experience , in a 8 foot by 8 foot area.
Check it out. Hopefully the price will decrease drastically, kind of like the computer , how it was VERY expensive at first , but in the next few years , it became cheaper.
