This video is a quick overview on how the University of Michigan 3D Lab has been using the Emotiv EPOC device for navigation in a virtual reality CAVE. Using standard tools that come with the Emotiv EPOC SDK and our in-house rendering engine, Jugular, we’re able to get some basic navigation through a 3D scene. This was a great first step into figuring out how reliable the device is and whether it can be used with Immersive Virtual Reality.

This is just a first test upload to demonstrate how I hooked up a Vuzix VR920 head mounted display and a bike sensor to my computer to allow me to have a bit more of an enjoyable experience while peddling away the calories in my garage on the stationary bike. More information here: bako.ca
